Our Maritime division is looking for a Health & Safety Officer / Document Controller.

Job description

As the Safety Officer and Health & Safety Document Controller at KOOLE, you will be a vital part of our commitment to safety and compliance within our international operations.

Safety Officer Responsibilities

  • Conducting safety inspections and risk assessments in our various workplace settings.
  • Formulating and implementing robust safety policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, meticulously maintaining records.
  • Coordinating and conducting emergency response plans and drills.
  • Preparing HSE documents for wreck removal and salvage tenders.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations and keeping up with changes.

Health & Safety Document Controller Responsibilities

  • Centralizing and organizing all safety-related documents and records for seamless access and reference.
  • Ensuring the precision and integrity of safety manuals, procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborating across departments to compile and update vital safety information.
  • Supervising the distribution and retrieval of safety documents, supporting efficient document management.
  • Facilitating internal- and external audits and inspections by swiftly providing required documentation.

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge about Health and Safety in the Maritime sector.
  • Knowledge about Health and Safety in the Industrial demolition sector is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar capacity.
  • Profound knowledge of global health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexible work attitude and able to work on ad hoc assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Team player and work together with the HSE officer of our Industrial division.
  • Expertise in document management software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
