About the job
Are you a technically minded problem-solver with experience in offshore, decommissioning, ship salvage, or oil & gas? For our offshore decommissioning projects, we are looking for a hands-on Project / Decommissioning Engineer. In this role, you will translate our practical knowledge and experience from the onshore demolition industry into clear technical documentation and work methods for our offshore-oriented clients.
You will act as the link between operations, project management, and external engineering firms. You understand technical drawings, can review engineering documents, and serve as the point of contact for external engineers. Offshore experience is a plus, but most importantly, you have a practical mindset and can translate complex technical information into clear and workable instructions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and challenge external engineering firms
- Prepare and develop clear technical documents and method statements
- Translate practical demolition experience into offshore engineering activities
- Review technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Support project teams during preparation and execution phases
What you bring
- Technical background (mechanical engineering, offshore, maritime, or similar)
- Experience with demolition, offshore, heavy lifting, or similar projects
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Practical mindset and strong communication skills
What we offer
- Permanent employment contract, or
- Freelance (ZZP) assignment for approximately 5 months, averaging 3 days per week
