About the job
As Chief Engineer, you are responsible for managing and overseeing all technical and engineering operations onboard one of our offshore jack-up units in the North Sea. You ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and systems and play a key role in supporting our offshore decommissioning projects.
You will work closely with both the offshore crew and onshore management to guarantee smooth, compliant, and sustainable offshore operations.Responsibilities
- Leading and managing all onboard engineering and technical operations
- Ensuring safe and efficient operation of all machinery, systems, and equipment
- Overseeing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with class and company standards
- Supporting decommissioning and offshore project activities
- Maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing the engineering crew
- Ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all technical systems
- Maintain and enforce safety and environmental standards according to company and regulatory requirements
- Identify and resolve technical issues proactively
- Support operational planning and technical reporting
- Act as the key point of contact for all onboard engineering matters

What you bring
- Valid Chief Engineer license
- Proven experience on jack-up rigs or similar offshore units
- Solid understanding of marine engineering systems and offshore safety procedures
- Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
