KOOLE Contractors removes one of the viaducts in Badhoevedorp KOOLE and CBB are in cooperation, removing the six viaducts of the A9 at Badhoevedorp. This is the old route from the A9, through Badhoevedorp. In the meanwhile the first ones at the Plesmanlaan and Amsterdamse Baan are removed.

New POWER TRUCK at KOOLE Contractors Last Friday, the 6th of April, a Volvo FH16 750 10x4 heavy transport tractor was delivered by the Volvo Group Truck Center Amsterdam. This special Volvo is equipped with all kinds of options, think of Dynamic Steering, fully integrated parking cooler, 10-tons front axle, bi-xenon, parking heater for cabin and engine. The Volvo is produced on a CO2 neutral basis and complies with the latest European emission standards. The Volvo is equipped with the latest gearbox, called Crawler Gear (I-shift). This benefits the RPM’s on the highway, resulting in economical use. Nooteboom has been able to combine our wishes and possibilities into a versatile trailer with a load capacity over 90 tons. The Euro low-loader type 122-24 (ICP) is delivered with an Interdolly-Compact. The low-loader is equipped with a total of 6 pendulum axle lines with a stroke of 600 mm and large steering angles which are aligned with the truck. The Euro low-loader also has quick-acting couplings for easy connecting and disconnecting of the neck and to make the hydraulic system pressure-free. Thanks to the auxiliary control with wireless remote control, the trailer will be able to maneuver better.

Quick response at asbestos pollution Highway A4 March 20th, KOOLE Contractors executed the remediation of the asbestos which had ended up on one of the lanes of the A4 highway to Amsterdam with urgency and accuracy. The asbestos pollution is cleaned up using the specially equipped vacuum truck (equipped with Hepa filter) the asbestos pollution was sucked away from the lanes. After a final inspection and approval by an independent laboratory all three lanes of the A4 Highway were again released for traffic around 00:45.

KOOLE Contractors successfully removed “EL MAUD” shipwreck at Galisbay, Saint-Martin Dredger "EL MAUD" ran aground 100 meters from the shore during the passage of Hurricane Lenny, November 1999. The wreck is degraded over the years and is no longer safe for tourists. In 2017 KOOLE Contractors is awarded to remove "EL MAUD" and clean the area for future development, unfortunately Hurricane Irma delayed the wreck removal operation. After Hurricane Irma, KOOLE starts helping with the emergency response on Saint- Martin, later KOOLE removed the wreck and cleaned the area around Marigot in an environmental friendly way.

KOOLE Contractors prepares the spidercrane for operation The proprietary spidercrane is going to be hoisted on the roof of the power plant, here a hole will be drilled to a size of about 20 by 20 meters. Next, an auxiliary construction will be raised upwards to lower the two boilers one by one. Once on the ground, the boilers are redeemed from asbestos and disassembled. On the other side of the building, the electricity cables and a part of the ceiling are being removed.

KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage has successfully removed motor yacht the “Elsa” The motor yacht "Elsa" is stalled on the coast of Saba known as ‘Ladder Bay’ on 22 March. The wreck was a threat to the national marine reserve with her protective coral and fish species. An international salvage has made attempts to pull back the ship. After various failed attempts KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage has been given the contract to remove the ship in an environmentally friendly way. KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage was on site in July 2017 on site and has cut the ship into several pieces and removed it in a safe and environmentally friendly way. The operation was hampered by strong currents and waves. The operation was successfully completed and delivered to the Department of Public works.

KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage has successfully removed the “MV SIRENA” On August the 13th 2016, the ro-ro vessels the “MV SIRENA” ran aground on the rocks of Sint Eustatius, Caribbean. An attempt to refloat the vessel failed and as a result the ship broke in two pieces. The local weather conditions deteriorated the condition of the ship considerably. The “MV Sirena” ran aground at a challenging spot in the National Marine Park. The area is not only known for its beautiful coral reefs but especially for the extreme weather conditions and waves. After 60 days, the vessel was successfully removed by KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage without damaging the surrounding reefs.

Several fire departments from the area were called to come help put out the fire, KOOLE has contributed to this to be able to do this as safe as possible. We have secured the walls of the houses that were on the verge of collapse. KOOLE Contractors have secured storage space in Amsterdam On the 29st of may this year a big fire has occurred in the western port area of Amsterdam. The fire started around 19:30 at a waste disposal company on the Kajuitweg. The fire burned out under supervision of the Fire Brigade and prevented any additional damage to the surrounding area. KOOLE secured the burned storage space from collapsing. KOOLE demolished the burned building and sorted the materials and discharged them.
