About the job
As Assistant Engineer, you will support the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day technical operations onboard. You’ll be involved in maintaining and operating all machinery and systems, ensuring that offshore engineering activities run safely and efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable offshore experience and develop your technical expertise within a professional and dynamic team
Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Engineer in daily operations and maintenance tasks
- Assist with the operation, monitoring, and repair of machinery and systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and technical documentation
- Contribute to safe and efficient engineering performance during offshore decommissioning projects
- Work closely with senior engineers, learning and developing within a strong team environment
Skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Team-oriented with a proactive, hands-on attitude
What you bring
- Technical education and valid offshore certifications
- Previous experience on jack-ups or offshore units required
- Solid understanding of marine engineering systems and safety procedures
