KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage has successfully removed the “MV SIRENA”2017-12-06
On August the 13th 2016, the ro-ro vessels the “MV SIRENA” ran aground on the rocks of Sint Eustatius, Caribbean. An attempt to refloat the vessel failed and as a result the ship broke in two pieces. The local weather conditions deteriorated the condition of the ship considerably. The “MV Sirena” ran aground at a challenging spot in the National Marine Park. The area is not only known for its beautiful coral reefs but especially for the extreme weather conditions and waves. After 60 days, the vessel was successfully removed by KOOLE MAMMOET Salvage without damaging the surrounding reefs.
